IRAQI JEWS IN THE DIASPORA
THE AMERICAN FRIENDS of the babylonian Jewry Heritage Center
THE WORKS OF THE
SCULPTOR ODED HALAHMY

Oded halahmy, is an Israeli born artist, who has a studio for sculpture in New York and an Art Gallery in the old quarter of Jaffa. Many charitable organizations enlist his aid to donations. He is a marvelous host, who supplied us with delectable Iraqi dishes.
Lately he founded the Association for Friends of the Babylonian Jewry heritage center, which aims to encompass many people all over the USA.

The co-founders are: Robert Shasha, David Moshe, Rachel & Yvette Rabi, Eleazer Sarraf, Izaac Yohanan and Maurice Shohet. Halahmy has also contributed to the embellishment of the exhibition on Iraqi Jewish music, which is intended to be performed at the Babylonian Jewry Museum. He also plans to set up financial grants to help art students, painters, sculptors and poets in Israel.
The Babylonian Jewry Heritage Center is proud of people like Oded Halahmy, who are a credit to society in general and particularly to Iraqi immigrants.
